FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)?

  •  Sunprovider agrees to purchase and maintain solar panels, solar related equipment, and/or battery storage on the customer’s property
  •  The Customer agrees to purchase the power generated by the solar power at an agreed upon fixed rate from Sunprovider

What are the benefits of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA)?

  • No upfront costs
  • Lower, predictable monthly energy bill
  • No maintenance costs
  • Guaranteed solar production
  • No tax paperwork
What Impacts does the Big Beautiful Bill have on our Industry?
  • Residential Tax Credits end 12/31/2025, but PPA pricing is based on Commercial incentives.
  • Incentives get reduced by 7/4/2026, so PPA rates will adjust based on that.
  • As Residential incentives disappear, the cost of a PPA will be significantly cheaper than a Loan
What Happens When I Move?
  • When you move you can transfer your agreement over to the new homeowner. Think back to when you called your power company, Sunprovider makes transferring your agreement easy.

Can I Buy Out of my Agreement?

  • Any point after 5 years, you may choose to pre-pay your solar agreement and own your system. If you choose to own your system, the manufacture warranties will stay in place, but the Sunprovider production guarantees and additional warranties will not.
